Construction is now underway at 35 South Huntington, a mixed-use development that will feature 38 residential units, 7,080 SF of ground-floor retail space and a 26-space underground parking garage. The 12,000 SF site is surrounded by 4+ story buildings and the MBTA Green Line.
Geopier Impact® Rammed Aggregate Pier® elements were recently installed to eliminate the need for over excavation and replacement of existing fill, while providing higher bearing pressure for spread footings and settlement control. Helical's design/build solution will limit post-construction settlement of footings and differential settlement of adjacent footings to 1-inch and less than 1/2-inch respectively.
